A new song "Mother" will be released this Friday

In a few days I´ll be sending out the first music of my own in a VERY long time!

The song is very special to me. It was written a late Saturday night in May after returning from the hospital visiting my 86 year old mother, who was very ill. There are so many things that we never tell our parents before it´s too late, so I decided I wanted to write her a tribute, while she´s still here to hear it. The words and music came to me very quickly that night, and it felt strong and important in just the right way. I reached out to Jesper Folke, who runs a very old fashioned studio in an old car repair workshop in Østbirk, and he was up for helping getting the song recorded. I didn´t want it to be produced og streamlined in any way, so I just sat down at Jesper´s old grand piano and played the song like it was written. So - it´s not a radio song, it´s not for the dance floor og for running fast. But if you want to sit in the dark and look out the window on a rainy night with your headphones on - it just might fit.
