I´ve tried to carve my own path in the music industry over the past 25 years. Talent development and opening doors for new creative collaborations are some of my key principles because it leads to so many unexpected positive changes for a lot of people who find their own way to work with their music.
With a Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of Copenhagen I began my career in 2001 running the music venue KulisseLageret in Horsens. In addition to organizing and presenting 100 concerts a year, I also worked actively with local emerging talents, developing several bands and solo artists.
In 2006 I founded Mayday Music which over the years has created numerous creative projects in collaboration with organizations like DR, NRK, SPOT Festival, ROSA, and a wide range of bands and venues. www.mayday-music.dk
I organized a series of international songwriting camps, where artists from the Nordic countries and beyond had the opportunity to write together. The project, Nordic Co-writers, became a popular feature at the SPOT Festival for several years and continued in a new form called Nordklang Sessions in collaboration with the Nordklang Festival in Switzerland.
While working these projects I also wrote a multitude of songs, primarily in Danish, and released the EP 'Forløs Din Drøm' in 2006 and my debut album 'Måneskitser' in 2010.
My own songwriting has a clear acoustic foundation with a strong focus on melody, and my lyrics are direct but at the same time poetic with inspiration from Danish poets like Frank Jæger, Benny Andersen, Lone Hørslev and Dy Plambeck.
The release of “Måneskitser” (Moon Sketches) led to several new opportunities. The single "Kamel Kamel" received extensive airplay on DR P4, leading to a collaboration with the established pop/rock band På Slaget 12, who were looking for a new lyricist. Since 2011 I have written more than 30 lyrics for them incl. a full album "Hjerterne Fri," that was released in 2015, and singles for lead singer Ann-Mette Eltens´ solo career, including “Ingenting Gi´r Mening Uden Dig” - the 3rd most played song on DR P5 in 2023.
I´ve has also co-written songs with bands like HUSH, Ida Wenøe, Marius Ziska, Lena Anderssen and Spin Doctors´ lead singer Chris Barron.
I began converting my experiences into teaching songwriting in 2007, where I was one of the main architects behind the renowned songwriting course at Engelsholm Højskole. Many of my former students have since joined groundbreaking bands like Lowly, CHINAH, Boho Dancer and Roya. www.engelsholm.dk
I´ve has also taught many classes in music management, booking, running a label etc. over the years.
Over the last 10 years I have also booked a number of tours for different Danish and international artists in Denmark and worked as artist manager for renowned folk artist Ida Wenøe.
From 2007-2025 I ran the record label Songcrafter Music with songwriter and friend Martin Høybye. Out initial idea was to create a label that, under the motto "All About the Song," focused on the craft of songwriting and the quality of lyrics and melodies.
We released 50 albums and 70 singles with artists such as Ida Wenøe, Marius Ziska, Kajsa Vala, Simon Lynge, Lena Anderssen and På Slaget 12 in addition to our own records. www.songcrafter.dk

Since 2021 I´ve also been running a music venue at Engelsholm presenting great artists from all over the world for both the school´s students and an external audience .
